BEEHIVE HONEY-POT
Honey-pot is a receptacle used for serving honey in the table.
Usually it is of cylindrical shape with a cover and, often, a fixed saucer-like stand with a serving spoon.

A particular type of honey-pot is the beehive honey-pot.
It is of semi-ovoid shape, in the form of a skep (a beehive made of horizontal coils of straw).
The upper part of the pot is the cover, having a finial depicting one or more bees.
The best known example of silver beehive honey-pot was made by Paul Storr around 1800.
