The firm was organized in 1894 as M.S. Benedict Mfg. Co and M. Stewart Benedict was the president.
In 1902 the firm was incorporated ans reorganized in 1906 as T.N. Benedict Mfg. Co.
The headquarter of the company was in East Syracuse, New York. In 1910 a branch was opened in Canada.
In 1912 the company absorbed and merged in East Syracuse plant: Hamilton Silver Mfg. Co of New York, Benedict Dunn Co of Bridgeport CT and Benjamin Clark Silver Co of Ottawa IL.
Out of business in 1953.
