Connell was active at 83 Cheapside, London as manufacturer and dealer of Modern Artist's Jewellery and Silverware.
The business was founded by William Connell in the early 19th century.
George Lawrence Connell (manager of the firm 1902-1917) was responsible for the introduction of "modern artistic silverware".
The firm retailed works in Art Nouveau Style designed by Kate Harris and manufactured by William Hutton & Sons.
