silver vase - Italy





Italian silver vase this is a silver vase manufactured in Italy around 1930. Its style is typical of this period, with a double cone hand-wrought hammered body and two 'ball' handles.
An example of the 'bugnato' style is offered by the couple of vases on the botton of this page. They were made by Mario Buccellati in 1929 and were exhibited in Milan in 1999 in the show 'Bagliori d'argento tra le due guerre' .
The vase is marked '800' (800/1000 silver purity degree).
It is 8 1/4 in. high (cm. 20,5) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.
