silver medal - Italy
this is a silver medal made in Italy at the beginning of 20th century.
On the front side is represented the 'winged lion', ancient symbol of Venice.
In the reverse side there's a floral decoration in 'Art Nouveau' style and the mark 800 (800/1000 silver purity degree).
It has a diameter of 1 1/2 in (cm. 4).
The medal was a prize given in 1911 to Angelo Camozzi (my father in law), pupil of first class primary school.
