DRGM (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) DRGM (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster)
The acronym DRGM means Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster [and/or Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster -Third Reich], and stands for the design/function of an item being officially registered inside all of the Germany states and not just a single/local registration. DRGM registration was introduced in 1891 and continued to be utilized up until 1949 [during Allied occupation]. The registration was valid for three years. The DRGM registration offered a copyright protection for the duration of three years and included the right to indicate the item status by marking the registered items with the DRGM acronym. It was left to the registration owner to include the registration number as the DRGM marking alone was the element with legal character. The actual result of such a registration was called Gebrauchsmusterschutz. DRGM registered products were protected either for their way of intended use or design only without patent protection. Patent rights were secured by applying for a Deutsches Reichspatent.

Dautzenberg F.X. Rheinische Metallwarenfabrik - Krefeld Dautzenberg F.X. Rheinische Metallwarenfabrik - Krefeld
The firm, founded in 1899 in Krefeld (Germany), was active until the start of WWI (1914). Subsequent attempts to resume production were unsuccessful. During the 1899 - 1914 period Dautzenberg had stores in major European cities, like Brussels, London and Paris manufacturing pewter ware that could be ordered with either a silver plated or gold plated finish. Some of the known designers of the models they produced are Hugo Meinhardt, J.R. Hannig, Alexandre Vibert and Alphonse Piquemal. Most of Dautzenberg production isn't marked with the factory name and often its pieces are traded or auctioned as WMF products.
